Subject: NCHF August 22 Meeting at Skyline

A reminder about the August 22 Meeting at Skyline re: Northern
California Homebrewers Festival -

If you plan to attend, please let me know whether you need
directions (and also so I can have some kind of head count in
advance.) Thank you.

If you or your designee will not be able to attend, please make
sure that all tickets in your possession are accounted for, either
by way of sale or return. Specifically, by August 22, you will
need to either:

a) have the sold ticket forms filled out and returned with checks
attached; or

b) return the unused tickets with forms attached.

This is absolutely essential. We have some clubs that need extra
tickets. If your club is not using a ticket, it will be
reallocated to another club. If you don't return the unused
ticket, it won't be available for reallocation, which isn't fair to
a club that needs it. Don't screw up somebody's chance to go to the
Fest by holding a ticket that your club didn't need.

IMPORTANT

It IS necessary for a form to be filled out for each ticket sold,
and the form MUST identify the ticket holder, not the person who
wrote the check, or the club member, or somebody else. The name on
the form should match the ID of the person holding the ticket, or
things are going to go slowly at the registration table. If the
name on the form and the name on the ID for the ticket holder don't
match, then the person will be asked to step aside, and wait while
the Club Rep is found, because the Club Rep is responsible for
clearing up paperwork. If you take care of it before submitting the
forms and checks, it will make things go much easier on Fest Day.
Thank you.

Then:

IF YOU NEED MORE TICKETS

1. I'd suggest being at the meeting.
2. Bring checks or your check book.
3. Get anybody who wants an extra ticket to fill out a blank
ticket form. You'll need to make a photo copy of one, and blank
out the ticket number stamp. Have the person fill out the form and
attach their check. If there are tickets available for
reallocation, we'll do it on the spot on the 22nd. If there are no
tix available, we'll return the check and the person will have
priority for a ticket in 1999. Best we can do. 4. If you're
mailing in your ticket forms and checks, then mail the "extra
requests" along with the rest of the forms and checks. They'll
either get a ticket or a check returned in the mail. Since they
will have a form filled out, we will renumber the form to
correspond to the ticket. 5. It will work, actually. We'll do the
best we can to satisfy everyone who needs/wants a ticket on the
22nd. After that, it'll be too late. We have a ton of stuff to do
to get ready, and we just aren't going to jazz with tickets after
the 22nd, so get it done now.

So, in conclusion:

See you on the 22nd. Or not, but have everything to me by then.
We're ordering based on the head count as of the 22nd, and if stuff
comes in after that, well......

If you have any questions, call or email.
