The eighth annual Bay Area Brew Off went extremely well. We set another new record with 179 entries, some from as far away as Washington, Texas, and Virginia. Not only does the number of entries keep rising, but it seems the quality does too. Also, the quality of the judges is consistently high; this fact could be why this event is so popular.

So, many thanks to all the volunteers and workers who helped out. A list of the major volunteers follows. Thanks especially to the entrants, without whom there would be no Brew Off. Thanks to Bob Jones for registering the entries and to Harry Graham for computerizing the scores and generating the statistics. A special thanks goes to John Pyles for his work in organizing the entire event. Finally, give a toast to July Ashworth of Lyon’s Brewery for sponsoring the Brew Off.
